Kopke 30 year old Tawny
This port wine is made from tawnies from a number of different vintages, some of which are younger and some are significantly older than 30 years, but with an age profile in the blend that the Port Wine Institute has approved as typical of the type during a tasting.
The color is light mahogany green reflections and an almost transparent rim with clear signs of age and where the aromas balance Christmas spices, raisins, pickled fig and lemon zest. The volatile acidity and medicinal attributes contribute with focus and incredible complexity.
We recommend that you refrain from serving food with the wine. It is difficult to see the dish or appetizer that will enhance the experience of this port wine.
