After 29 years of patient aging, this vintage tawny follows Andresen's sympathetic philosophy of waiting longer than other houses to bottle early to get money in the coffers. For the same reason, Andresen has an intact stock of old colheitas, which go back all the way to the 1900 vintage, and overall, there is a timeless, almost Zen-like atmosphere throughout Andresen's rather large cellars in Gaia.
In the glass and in the color, the relative maturity is naturally experienced, where the fruit and color have clearly faded into the background in favor of topaz green reflexes and candied dried fruit notes, citrus and volatile aromas with a well-integrated palate, sweet and smoky with a lively and playful acidity in the ultra-long finale, which floats on in weightlessness.
Enjoy the wine alone at a temperature below 16 degrees with hazelnut and walnut tarts, almond tarts, apple tarts with macaroons.
