The depth and complexity of flavours found in Dow's 40 Year Old Tawny is testament to the ancient terrace vineyards of the Douro Valley and Dow's historic Boa Vista Lodge. This rare wine has been nurtured by generations of the Symington family, and only a limited number are bottled each year. Simply incomparable, this is the consummate old tawny Port.
With a beautiful, translucent amber-gold color, delicate aromas of dried fruit are combined with a hint of fine jam.
A luxuriously silky palate and notes of fruit preserves then lead to a complex, long and slightly dry finish that reveals nutty praline notes and ends with a long finish.
About the Port Wine Cellar
The Port Wine Cellar is a combined port wine bar where you can buy and enjoy a glass of port wine. We are also a retail store and webshop selling port wine.
The Port Wine Cellar has fixed opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The cellar has room for 26 seated guests (+ 4 outdoor seating). Here, in addition to enjoying a glass of port wine, you can also enjoy a port wine drink or order a tapas platter.
