In Niepoort's warehouse in the port city of Vila Nova de Gaia on the Douro River, the wine is matured in oak barrels, which hold the traditional port wine measure, 500 liters. Niepoort Tawny 10 Years Old is composed of wines that have an average age of 10 years.
Niepoort Tawny 10 Years Old has a beautiful red orange-gold tone, the taste is full-bodied, pleasantly spicy with hints of almond and lots of fruit, the final bouquet is spicy and warm.
Port wine is good with desserts, cheese and as an aperitif, as well as with a good cigar.
About the Port Wine Cellar
The Port Wine Cellar is a combined port wine bar where you can buy and enjoy a glass of port wine. We are also a retail store and webshop selling port wine.
The Port Wine Cellar has fixed opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The cellar has room for 26 seated guests (+ 4 outdoor seating). Here, in addition to enjoying a glass of port wine, you can also enjoy a port wine drink or order a tapas platter.
