Vieira de Sousa 50 year old tawny is an exceptional port wine made from different batches with a minimum of 50 years in barrels.
The long-term aging gives it a deep tawny color, a complexity of aromas and allows its stabilization to be natural, thus obtaining a wine of quality.
Very deep brownish color with a strong green rim, which indicates very old port in the blend. In the nose it is a wine from another time, but very lively and delicate. Take your time to enjoy the aroma, which gives you new impressions all the time, if you are patient. A fabulous concentration of coffee and liqueur, comes on the palate with a long aftertaste. A lovely crisp end to this long experience. The sweetness is high, but seems very beautifully balanced by a pleasant acidity.
About the Port Wine Cellar
The Port Wine Cellar is a combined port wine bar where you can buy and enjoy a glass of port wine. We are also a retail store and webshop selling port wine.
The Port Wine Cellar has fixed opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The cellar has room for 26 seated guests (+ 4 outdoor seating). Here, in addition to enjoying a glass of port wine, you can also enjoy a port wine drink or order a tapas platter.
