This 20 Years Tawny is a blend of base wines from old casks with slightly younger ones to create a classic 20 YO Tawny in terms of age. The wines have been aged in 600 litre oak casks and have achieved a delicious aged style with an orange amber colour. Fruit and tannins from the harsh raw wine have oxidised into a harmonious and rounded beautiful wine, where aromas of powdered sugar and nuts play off the underlying citrus notes, giving the wine a complex, concentrated and impressive expression.
Can be enjoyed on its own or with desserts where nuts or caramel play a prominent role. Similarly, blue cheeses are also fantastic companions, if the wine is not just to be enjoyed as it is without disturbing elements. Serve cold rather than hot in large port wine glasses.
About the Port Wine Cellar
The Port Wine Cellar is a combined port wine bar where you can buy and enjoy a glass of port wine. We are also a retail store and webshop selling port wine.
The Port Wine Cellar has fixed opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The cellar has room for 26 seated guests (+ 4 outdoor seating). Here, in addition to enjoying a glass of port wine, you can also enjoy a port wine drink or order a tapas platter.
