JH Andresen 20 years of White Port
At first glance, this aged 20 Years Old looks like a Tawny type, but the green reflections nevertheless reveal that the glass contains an old aged white port, as the wine's original color, aroma and taste transform over time. The blend includes wines with almost 40 years in the cellar and, not surprisingly, they add incredible depth to the wine.
Time plays the main role, with the color taking on a deep orange mahogany, the aroma and taste clearly transformed from primary fruit to dried apricot, vanilla bean, acacia honey and balanced by cleansing acidity and a hint of pharmacy scent. All soft and not sugary and without tannic elements as the raw fruit is based solely on the green grapes, Côdega, Malvasia Fina, Rabigato and Arinto.
Enjoyed in large glasses of port wine, chilled as pure meditation.
