Carlos Flores dos Santos is known for thinking long before making decisions and he likes to wait longer than most to bottle his Colheitas early in order to get money in the box. This philosophy is pervasive in JH Andresen's universe. Hats off to that. There is no room for quick trades or sudden impulses here. With this in mind, this 13-year-old teenager must be the antithesis, who proved himself ready to fly earlier than expected – and we are happy to include the absolution.
Here you experience a deep and dense mahogany color with a spicy scent and with the fruitiness intact and spicy charm with the class's typical powdered sugar elements, but with the acidity as a guideline in the sweet expression throughout the mouth, which also reveals the weight and high quality of the vintage.
The wine can be enjoyed with sweet desserts, blue cheeses and hard cheeses of the Manchego type, but also goes well as an aperitif or simply as a cozy wine, preferably served at around 14 degrees.
About the Port Wine Cellar
The Port Wine Cellar is a combined port wine bar where you can buy and enjoy a glass of port wine. We are also a retail store and webshop selling port wine.
The Port Wine Cellar has fixed opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The cellar has room for 26 seated guests (+ 4 outdoor seating). Here, in addition to enjoying a glass of port wine, you can also enjoy a port wine drink or order a tapas platter.
