2015 was a big year for many of the producers in the Douro, and Bulas was lucky enough to have an excellent harvest in both 2015 and 2016. That is why they have made vintages in both years. Although the 2015 vintage is one year older than 2016, it does not appear older in any way. It has a density and a palette of overwhelming flavor nuances and tannins that you do not find in the same way in 2016. This wine is not as open and ready to drink as 2016, and does not yet have the same wide range of red fruits. On the other hand, you get an incredibly dense wine here, which is also very complex. You experience a multitude of different flavor impressions on the tongue, but they are difficult to distinguish from each other. One is lined up after the other. This shows great development potential when the wine gets a little older.
About the Port Wine Cellar
The Port Wine Cellar is a combined port wine bar where you can buy and enjoy a glass of port wine. We are also a retail store and webshop selling port wine.
The Port Wine Cellar has fixed opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The cellar has room for 26 seated guests (+ 4 outdoor seating). Here, in addition to enjoying a glass of port wine, you can also enjoy a port wine drink or order a tapas platter.
