2016 is a classic vintage. Bulas has very old vines on one of its quintas all the way down to the river and can therefore make high-quality vintages. Of course, there are differences between the vintages - some are fantastic, others are just good. The 2016 vintage is of very high quality and has also been proclaimed by the major port wine houses as one of the great years. We have tasted the bottles and can guarantee that this vintage follows on from the previous vintages from Bulas. Almost purple in colour, very tannic and a massive body of heavy fruit. A vintage with enormous shelf life and potential in the bottle. But despite its young age, this vintage is surprisingly drinkable already now, if you don't mind a slightly overwhelming and pretentious wine.
About the Port Wine Cellar
The Port Wine Cellar is a combined port wine bar where you can buy and enjoy a glass of port wine. We are also a retail store and webshop selling port wine.
The Port Wine Cellar has fixed opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The cellar has room for 26 seated guests (+ 4 outdoor seating). Here, in addition to enjoying a glass of port wine, you can also enjoy a port wine drink or order a tapas platter.
