This is Dalva's absolute top level, and you can taste it! 40 year old tawny with respectable high quality. Amazing depth, great body, fatness with notes of dried fruit, orange peel, cocoa and hazelnuts are just some of the impressions that pour into the glass when this wine is poured. Long aftertaste that offers coffee, cinnamon and complexity. 40 year old tawny is first and foremost a style where the wine is mixed from barrels from different vintages - both younger and significantly older wines - so that you achieve a taste that stylistically matches a port that has been barrel-aged for about four decades. This also ensures high, consistent quality from year to year. At Dalva, only the best base wines are used for this and therefore this 40 year old tawny appears fabulously well-balanced.
About the Port Wine Cellar
The Port Wine Cellar is a combined port wine bar where you can buy and enjoy a glass of port wine. We are also a retail store and webshop selling port wine.
The Port Wine Cellar has fixed opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The cellar has room for 26 seated guests (+ 4 outdoor seating). Here, in addition to enjoying a glass of port wine, you can also enjoy a port wine drink or order a tapas platter.
