Historically, you can find documents mentioning Quinta do Vesuvio as far back as 1565.
However, it was not until the Ferreria family took over the property at the beginning of the 19th century that Quinta do Vesuvio achieved the status it has today in the production of vintage port. In 1989, the 325-hectare property was purchased by the Symington family, who also own prestigious properties such as Grahams, Dow, Warre and Smith Woodhouse. Today, 141 out of the 325 hectares are planted with vines, the age of which varies between 3 and 40 years. All the fields have naturally achieved the attractive A-classification... Vinification
Very traditional, where the grapes are trampled and the must is subsequently fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for two years in oak barrels before being bottled and released for sale.

About the Port Wine Cellar
The Port Wine Cellar is a combined port wine bar where you can buy and enjoy a glass of port wine. We are also a retail store and webshop selling port wine.
The Port Wine Cellar has fixed opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The cellar has room for 26 seated guests (+ 4 outdoor seating). Here, in addition to enjoying a glass of port wine, you can also enjoy a port wine drink or order a tapas platter.
